Rachel Carey founded Door To Door Pet Delivery because she believes every pet deserves individualized care and a safe, private journey home. What started as a personal commitment to safer pet transportation has grown into a woman-owned, family-operated company trusted by more than 2,700 clients since 2021.
Rachel holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Counseling, and she brings both disciplines to the work: the operational rigor to run private, dedicated transports safely, and the empathy to understand what it feels like to hand your pet to a stranger. Door To Door Pet Delivery is USDA Registered, every driver is background checked through Checkr, and pets are insured through Lloyd's of London while in our care.

Private pet transportation is a dedicated ground transport service where one customer's booking fills the entire trip. The only pets on board are pets that belong to members of the same household. We do not pick up or drop off unrelated animals along the way. Households with multiple pets travel together on the same private trip.
Shared transport groups pets from many different customers into one vehicle, with multiple stops to pick up and drop off other animals. With our private service there are no shared rides and no grouped animals from other customers. Just a direct trip from your door to the destination for the pets in your household.
We come to your home, load your pet with care, and drive directly to the destination address you provide. There is no terminal, no cargo hold, and no unrelated stops. A dedicated driver handles the entire trip from door to door.
You get live GPS tracking from pickup to drop-off, so you can open your phone at any time and see exactly where your pet is on the route. Live GPS tracking, picture updates, and text updates are all included in your trip at no additional cost.
You receive photo and text updates at every stop along the way, in addition to the live GPS tracking link, so you always know how your pet is doing. These updates are included at no additional cost.
We regularly transport dogs and cats. If you have a different companion animal, contact us with the details and we will let you know whether we can accommodate the trip.
Yes, we transport cats regularly. Cats travel in the vehicle cabin with the driver and are provided a litter accommodation for the trip, along with fresh water, feeding on the schedule you share with us, and a calm, quiet environment throughout the drive. If your cat has favorite bedding or a familiar carrier, please send it along so travel feels as normal as possible.

For young puppies who have not yet completed their full series of vaccinations, we follow a "No Paws on the Ground" policy during transport. That means your puppy is carried at every stop and is never set down in public areas such as rest stops, gas stations, or parking lots where unknown animals may have been. This helps protect vulnerable puppies from exposure to parvovirus and other illnesses while they are still building immunity.

Send your pet's regular food and feeding instructions, any medications with dosing notes, a familiar leash and collar or harness, and a favorite blanket or toy. We will maintain your pet's feeding schedule and give frequent walks and personal attention along the way.

Flight Nanny is a separate premium service for pet parents whose travel requires flying using confirmed flights rather than standby travel. A member of our team accompanies your pet in the aircraft cabin as their personal escort, handling check-in, security, boarding, layovers, and hand-off at the destination.
Service may include an airline-approved pet carrier, the airline's pet fee, and the flight nanny service fee. Because availability and pricing depend on the route, airline, pet, and travel requirements, Flight Nanny is quoted, scheduled, and priced separately from our private ground transport.
